Take-2

Alright, take two.

Just chatted with the hiring official for a job in Rainier National Park. This one sounds very promising. It's a front country position, but beggers can't be choosers. Crossing the old fingers again.

Bye-Bye Chaw

Next few weeks ought to be interesting.

Alaska -1

Alaska was a no-go. Bummer, it sounded like a sweet position. Being flown into the backcountry and living out of a tent for 10 days at a time, patrolling the wilderness. I was ranked as the 7th in line for 7 positions, which means that I would be in...right? Nope, you have to factor in the folks from last season who all have rehire status. There was an outside chance, didn't work though.

In other parkie news I'm still on the hiring roster for Yellowstone NP, and I'm currently in contact with Rainier NP.

I'm getting a little depressed that I may not get a position this summer, but doing my best to keep a positive attitude. Good things come to those who wait.
